I wrote [Wish You Were Here] as a reminder to myself almost, that I would far rather be an extra in a battle, have a walk on part in the war than play the lead who sits back in Headquarters, some rich guy in a hotel room. That’s what the song means to me anyway but that doesn’t mean what everyone else thinks is wrong. Music is about forming your own opinion and finding how a song can relate to you on a personal level. It means something different to everyone and it’s supposed to. For me it’s an encouragement to continue auditioning for that walk on part in the war.

OK, so that’s it then. Rolling Stones will announce on 4th September that they are playing 2 shows in London’s 02 Arena this November to mark their 50th Anniversary. They shows are being promoted by Richard Branson and Paul Dainty will promote the dates and The Rolling Stones will earn $25 million from them.
I will kill a man to get tickets if I have to, you have no fucking idea how badly I need to be there.
