On the set of my film “The Cigarettes We Smoked Together” due for release in January 2014. On the evening 17 year old Poppy commits suicide, her 3 friends gather to reminisce the memories they cherish of her, trying to piece together if they had anything to do with her death or more importantly, could they have prevented it? Set on the back drop of post-grunge wasted youth, Cigarettes We Smoked Together is a story of friendship, love, lust, jealousy, dreams, fears, addiction, desire, humanity and demands an answer to lifes most brutal question “At what age did you lose your compassion?”
